How do you know when a guy is "the one"?

Dear Diet Coke Talk: How do you know when a guy is the one? I have been dating my boyfriend for 5 years, and he wants to get married. I really like him and I'm not interested in anyone else, but it just seems like I would be able to feel something more if he was the one. You know, like in them movies.


Bethany: Oh honey, let me tell you, we've all been there.

Darlene: Mmm-hmm.

Bethany: You watch your movies, your Snow Whites, and your Titanics, and Sleepless in Seattle...

Darlene: And Terminator.

Bethany: And Terminator. And you think when you meet "the one," there's going to be music in the air, and slow motion...

Darlene: And a terminator chasing you.

Bethany: And a terminator chasing you. But movies ain't real life, honey. When I met my Darryl, why, all that was in the air was chemical fumes. Because we were working at the old 3M plant.

Darlene: And Harvey and I were high school sweethearts. By the time we got married, we were so used to each other, I swear it was like we were an old married couple. Like Bert and Ernie.

Bethany: What we're getting at is, some of our most magical moments happened years after any movies would be interested in us.

Darlene: Why, we had a magical moment just last night.

Bethany: Oh Darlene, she does not want to hear about that. Go on with you. Well, I'm about done with my Diet Coke. (sluuuuuuurp)

Darlene: Same here. (sluuuuuurp)
